Competitive tariff
JAM! has been working together with The Harbour Club and Horeca Groep Leiden since 2018. Before that, these parties did their own payroll. Jordi van der Geest, CFO of both businesses, pilot tested a payroller after competitive colleagues recommended JAM!. ‘I had my doubts, looking at it from the technical costprice side.’ After he compared the prices, financial hospitality adviser Maikel Lindewegen from 402 recommended to start working with JAM!. ‘JAM! had a much better competitive tariff, which made us switch to them.’
Only a few percent cost differences, with a much more professional salary administration
‘I like comparing apples to apples,’ Jordi says. That is why he put the costs side to side, to come to the best comparison. ‘I started with all the gross wages, including employer contributions. But there are quite a few indirect costs, like running your own employee administration, absenteeism costs, insurance for the absenteeism, arbo services (The Health & Safety Service), and so on.’ It took a while to calculate all that, but when he did, he found out there’s a minor difference between his costs and those of the JAM! service. ‘There’s only a few percent of cost differences, but now I have a way more professional salary administration and employee policy.’
Controlling everything way better
What does Jordi especially like about the collaboration? ‘I have everything way better under control, and all the contracts are well arranged and submitted. That makes the work more effective, which allows us to focus on what has our priority.’ The employees also use the online hospitality training of the JAM! Academy. ‘This would normally cost us a lot of money to initiate individually. But when JAM! introduced it to all customers, the employee’s reap the rewards.’ Thus we continue the conversation with Jordi to develop our service. Jordi also mentions the good fit with JAM!. ‘The colleagues at JAM! are helpful, are there for you, and think with you. That is especially nice.’
