Minke de Kruijff
Founder

 

Minke is the co-founder of JAM! and former publisher of the popular Innit Magazine. He has known co-founder Jonathan since childhood, and they have been a golden business duo ever since. He studied in Utrecht, but soon moved out towards the ring of Amsterdam. His level-headedness, professionalism and thoughtfulness make Minke an ideal partner and employer.

Jonathan Sandel
Founder

 

Jonathan, also known as Jon, co-founder of JAM!, served in the police academy in Utrecht, amongst others. During this period, he had been thinking of publishing Innit Magazine for some time. Together with Marcel and Minke he has published dozens of successful editions of this magazine. Due to their broad network, the need for payroll administration soon became apparent. This led to the transition to payroll. He has known Minke since high school and together they started JAM! in 2014. Jon is a competent, caring and professional person. JAM! certainly benefits from this.

Marcel Overbeek
Account Manager

 

Marcel Overbeek is 36 years old and lives with his family in Badhoevedorp. When he can, he loves taking his sons to an Ajax game every Sunday. Marcel has experience as a Sales Manager in the publishing sector. Since the opening of JAM!, Marcel has been closely involved with the organization.

Within JAM! Marcel is the Account Manager – a position that shows his passion for JAM!. “I am always looking for new companies to assist. For my customers and their employees, I am the first point of contact. A plus: I’m practically always available.” Marcel and the team of HR Assistants ensure a close, personal collaboration within the JAM! team and of course with the customer.

Monique Kros
HR Manager

 

Monique seems to have been born for payrolling & recruiting, because she has worked within this industry since 2009. For the first eight years, she worked as HR Recruitment Consultant. When joining JAM!, she made the switch to being our bubbly and talented HR Manager. In this role, Monique ensures the correct processing, from A to Z, and is informed of all conditions related to payroll.

Monique is quite a perfectionist. This can only be an advantage to our customers, as they don’t have to worry about invoices or hours being wrong. These are always pre-checked thoroughly.

Anne Grannetia
HR Manager

 

When you speak to Anne on the phone, you may think she spends all her energy on JAM! – simply because she is so enthusiastic. However, she also goes to school twice a week in the evening. She does this to lift her knowledge and the quality of JAM! to a higher level. Anne is fluent in English, so it is always a pleasant conversation with our employees and customers. Anne speaks her mind and is always honest and realistic.

Paul Bergsma
Marketing & Communication

 

Is creative with video, photo, sound, text, communication and marketing and likes to mix this into a wonderful accessible whole. He studied Communication & Multimedia Design and Communication, and DJs on the weekends. He previously worked at Sugarfactory, Proefwerk, the TAO Group and has always had a passion for the catering industry. Paul gives advice on communication and marketing with pleasure. Born in Texel, he now lives in Amsterdam, at Hoofddorpplein.

Wichesta has experience as an Allround Receptionist at different major corporations. As she’s always busy with self-development, she started working at JAM! a little over one year ago. She studied Media, Information & Communication and simultaneously worked a lot in the hospitality business. Therefore, she knows exactly what hospitality employees think and feel. She can provide service like no one else, so you can contact her for all HR-related questions via email or phone. With her kindness and punctuality, Wichesta is an amazing part of our HR team!

For 10 years, Sandra has worked at the back office of Nedflex: a payroll company that grew into a team of 70 people during the time that she worked there. She started as a Back Office Employee and grew to Senior, Quality Coordinator and Team Manager. There, she worked in the hospitality team, amongst others. The young spirit, flexibility and professionality of JAM! let Sandra make the switch. She loves contributing to make JAM! grow even further and to take efficient professionalization to the next level.

Office Manager

 

Ginny has know-how of HR, as she worked as an Administrative Assistant and consequently worked as a Back Office Employee at YoungCapital. She studied Administration and Management Assistant. During the day, she loves being occupied with several tasks and she makes sure that everything goes smoothly. Ginny is very customer-friendly, flexible, service-orientated, inquisitive and cooperative. The dynamic work environment of JAM! is a welcoming challenge for her. And no, she’s not family of our colleague Paul. 😉

Wieteke has joined the JAM! team as a Content Creator. She’s born in Nijmegen, but has been proudly living in Amsterdam for six years now. After the bachelor Dutch Language & Communication, a Social Science Minor in San Francisco and the English master American Studies, she has worked her charm around words in both languages as a Content Creator and Community Manager. Moreover, she has worked in a food truck and therefore has a weak spot for the hospitality business. That means that this job is perfectly fit for her!

The 31-year old Amsterdam born and raised Sherris is JAM!’s acquisition in the HR. Previously, Sherris worked for five years as a Juridical Assistant at a Collection Agency and then two years as an HR and Finance Assistant at De Correspondent. In her new role as HR Manager at JAM!, she loves to engage in a challenge! If she’s not in office, you can find Sherris at a chic or shabby restaurant, the cinema or the gym. With her precise nature, you’re certain to count on Sherris.

Our HR Manager Annika is from Zaandijk. During her education Hospitality Management at the ROC, she did an internship in Ibiza. Consequently, she has worked for both the Ibis hotel in Zaandam and Hotel Mercure in Amsterdam’s Noorderstraat as a receptionist. The list goes on: during evening hours, Annika is following the education Human Resource Management at the HvA. She sure knows how to keep herself busy! In her spare time, she loves to go to restaurants and Egmond aan Zee.

JAM!’s newest Salary Administrator is Tiffany, 31 years old and lives in Amsterdam. Previously, she has worked at YoungCapital for 11 years, where she started as a Back Office Assistant and grew into a role as Team Lead. Before she kicked off at JAM!, Tiffany worked for a year as salary administrator at Maandag. Her hobbies? Doing fun things with her 2,5-year-old daughter and supporting at the sidelines of the football field. At JAM!, Tiffany is known as a concerned and hard-working colleague.

Account Manager

 

Maarten “Herman” Heije, born in Ede, has joined the JAM! team as an Account Manager since August. He has over 8 years of hospitality experience at multiple restaurants and a wine bar. Before he started at JAM!, Maarten worked at Jones Brothers Coffee as Account Manager. With his commercial background, JAM! is the ideal place to develop himself into a hospitality payroll specialist for businesses. In his spare time, Maarten likes to have a glass of good quality wine, listen to the Wu-Tang Clan and watch The Wolf of Wall Street.

The newest HR Assistant at JAM! is the 24-year-old Indy from Zaandam. After her education Business Administration at the HvA, she worked as a Corporate Recruiter at Jobs & Media Group. As she wanted to develop herself more in HR, she happily joined the JAM!-team. In her spare time, she loves to follow racing driver Max Verstappen. Last year, she has even flown to Mexico to be at a Formula 1 race! At the office, you can also always count on her quick and customer-friendly service.

Nikki from Edam has started with JAM! in December, after she finished her studies Human Resource Management at the HvA. She especially likes bringing the business aspect together with the people behind it, which is what she hopes to learn more about with JAM!. With a background in the hospitality industry, she’s at the right place here! When she’s not in office, she likes to have a drink with her friends or prepare a beautiful dinner. Moreover, she’s a star at skiing, so she shines on the Austrian slopes every year.

Since the middle of December, Marlies has taken over the reins from Wieteke as a Recruiter at JAM!. In the past, the half-Norwegian worked at Amoria Bond and BudgetEnergie as a Talent Acquisition Manager and Corporate Recruiter. Yet, the hospitality world is a new challenge for Marlies! Outside of office hours, she regularly visits the gym, has a drink at one of her favorite bars or does home repairs at her new place and her Norwegian cabin.

The brand new HR Intern at JAM! is Ellen from Oosterblokker, Noord-Holland. Since January, the 24-year-old studies HRM at the ROC Midden Nederland in Utrecht. With us, she’s at the right spot to learn everything there is to know about the job. From Monday until Wednesday, she’s present at the JAM! office! When she’s not working, Ellen loves to visit a good restaurant. She compensates that by visiting the gym three to four (!) times a week.

Haarlem-based Gioya is strengthening JAM! as a Casemanager, after years of experience in the HR. It runs in her blood, as her mother has the same profession! The fun part of being a Casemanager? It’s helping people and giving them motivation to reintegrate at work in a healthy manner. In her spare time, Gioya likes to ice skate every once in a while – but she’d like to do it more often. Moreover, she’s very fond of a nice terrace spot in the sun with a bunch of friends.

Janny, who is from The Hague but now proudly lives in Bussum, is strengthening JAM!’s team since this spring as a Salary Administrator. She has rolled into this line of work coincidentally. What Janny likes about this job? First and foremost: it’s important work, because everyone wants to receive their correct salary on time. Moreover, it’s never boring due to the different aspects about salary administration and the ever changing laws surrounding it. In her free time, she likes to occupy herself with her grandchildren, go out for dinner, and go on trips.

The Amsterdam born and raised Stormy has joined JAM!’s team as an Office Manager. It’s a job that’s perfectly fit for her, because she can combine her experience in both the corporate life and the hospitality industry. During her studies, she worked in hotels, bars and restaurants for years. That’s why her ideal workplace is informal, but filled with people who know how to work hard. Outside of JAM!, you can find her at the beach, where she teaches wakeboarding classes to children. Moreover, Stormy loves to have a drink in a bar or an outside terrace.

HR Manager Yvonne has been living in Amsterdam since a few years. Born in Assen, she moved to Groningen for the Hotel School and consequently the studies Human Resource Management. She then worked as an HR Assistant at Fietsenwinkel.nl before she started at JAM!. As an HR Manager here, she can combine her two studies. Perfect! The most fun about the job? The client contact, service orientation and good contact with colleagues. When she’s not at the office, you can find Yvonne behind a painter’s easel. Moreover, she likes to go out for dinner, organize a city trip or cuddle with her cat Mustache.

Roos Huber

Roos has started at JAM! in July 2020 as an HR Assistant. Born in Edam, she moved to Leeuwarden to do the Hotel Management School, after which she did minors in both Bali and Thailand. Consequently, Roos came to Amsterdam for a job in the HR department at DoubleTree by Hilton, which she followed up with a job at JAM!. After working in the hospitality industry for years, it’s extra fun to experience the sector from the other side. Moreover, it’s fun to help employees with questions and problems. In her free time, she loves to have a glass of wine at a bar or at the beach. She balances that out by going on an occasional run – because balance is key, right.

Michelle van der Hoeven

The 26-year-old Michelle works as an HR Assistant at JAM! since this summer. Born in Alphen aan de Rijn, she did a studies in Fashion & Design and simultaneously worked in the hospitality sector for years. She was ready for a change, and that’s why Michelle is now part of the HR team! This is where she combines her communicative skills with her hospitality past. When she’s not working at our Rokin office, Michelle is often found at the salsa bar to dance. Moreover, she’s Ottolenghi’s biggest fan and as a creative, she loves to make illustrations and ceramics at her mini workshop.

Havva Usan

Havva joined the JAM!-team with a diploma Human Resource Management from the HvA in her pocket. The Heerhugowaard-born and raised Havva, who has moved to Amsterdam, worked at a collection agency during her studies. That’s where she learned to have a stern conversation. She also used to work in the hospitality sector, so friendliness and dedication are her key words! At JAM!, Havva especially likes the diversity in work activities. During her free hours, she spends a lot of time with her family and friends – preferably with a plate of pasta con gamberi.
